Completely agree with you Doug. I think a lot of time, when we are younger and beginning our careers, the goals is always climb the ladder.
However, as we get older, sometimes we realize that certain levels bring with it added negative aspects that do not outweigh the benefits.
Maybe Florida is a better AD than Michigan, and maybe the Alumns and former players and coaches are not completely trying to sabotage the Head Coach. But I am going to guess that whoever takes on that position will need to deal with power struggles, egos and expectations that just make those jobs that much harder.
Meanwhile, RichRod at Arizona has about a solid a position as any HC in the country, and is at an AD that is committed to winning and committed to competing.
