Suggest waiting until the signing is completed. Then make an evaluation. There is too much recruiting dust in the air right now to see clearly. Everything right now is conjecture worthy of a Hansen opera of how Utah and BYU will always out recruit Arizona because Arizona has too many rattlesnakes in the desert surrounding the city.

Might there be a glimmer of hope?

Matt Dudek tweeted this (any resemblence to Dudek is, I'm sure, strictly coincidental)

I still think its worth it in the long run

From what we have read, I think this class is going to be short on the same thing we have almost every year, quality size on the D front and LB. Unless there is just some completely hidden elements. However I am still in the camp that the change was needed. Get a DL coach in with some sizzle and I think we set up great for future years. This was a strategic move, with some tactical fall out.

Kind of reminds me of the old days when "Emmitt", and "Bones" used to give us recruiting updates!

Sounds like great news from Dudek, and we could use it on LOI day. My understanding is that we may have 8 to 10 to give with the 4 greyshirts included in this class, minus the 3 early enrollees who can count in the last class.

I count 16 who are listed as warm or warmer on 247, although that may not be up to date. But I know that most of these are listed with in-home and/or campus visits, and several have us at the top:

Defense
DL: Josiah Sa'o, Jalen Cochran, Josh Allen (maybe he comes back)
LB: Victor Viramontes, Kalin Himphill, Troy Cassidy, Calvin Bundage (who knows)
S: Brandon Burton (UCLA lean), Chacho Ulloa (people like a lot), Lamar Jackson (big name), TaDaryl Marshall
CB: Terrell Burgess, Mike Daniels (JC)

Offense
WR: Desmond Fitzpatrick (big name), Kee Whetzel
OL: Matt Gutwald

I know I'm missing a couple of names, but obviously a big final push for defense.

I saw Calvin Bundage after the Utah game at Arizona. I would love to see him come to Arizona. Cayman was one of my favorite linemen at Arizona. Calvin would be a great addition although Oklahoma is his home state. He is one of the hybrid linebacker, nickle backs that are used so much in defenses these days.

Bearing Down on brother acts at Arizona 8-)
