I remember that Jack Lee insisted that the band get a guaranteed minimum number of uninterrupted minutes for the half time show. He negotiated this witht he organizers. Something that would never happen today. But it was the very first Super Bowl and Jack Lee was a very big advocated of his bands. They did a good job and the Pride of Arizona represented well.
