As a father of an NAU student, this kind of repulses me. Well not kind of, it really repulses me. But the Libertarian in me says, whatever two consenting adults want to do is up to them.

Yes, two consenting adults. But if my daughter sold herself for trips and presents, I'd be furious. Somewhat hypocritical, but we all are to a certain degree.

The hidden philosopher in me has 3 questions to ponder. Truly one is no more important than the other but are are worth of contemplation.

They are:
Are sugar babies really much different from full scholarship students? Each has to live up to certain expectations and can certainly lose their funding if they do not meet those expectations, what ever they are.

Are sugar babies actually in training for like as a stay at home wife? Get all the benefits while going to the yoga classes and zumba classes. Trips, favors, dresses, etc all part of the package. Again, sugar baby must live up to expectations or have a good divorce lawyer on call, but hey, it is a living.

If sugar baby graduates with a degree and goes into the professional world, does she use what she learned in college to advance her career? Is the ticket to the escalator to corporate heaven awarded to you by who you know and who you blow?

In all candor, if that is what it takes to get one through college, god bless you. But perhaps if said person spent more time in the library and less time shopping for expensive gifts, one might learn enough to get a real job. And the generous "philanthropist" could spend a little more time at home with his wife?

That's a lot of Tempe - Scottsdale traffic. They ought to do a study for more public transportation routes/options for that corridor. Keeping possible expansion options into Sun City. :P
