The players are taking pictures in what looks like last year's uniforms. Is this because they're only headshots so the numbers don't matter, or will the red jerseys still have the gradient numbers (which doesn't make sense)?

I'm pretty sure that the reds had solid numbers on the tour I took back in May. I just checked my phone and the only pic I took was of the blues (solid numbers), so I can't be positive.

WR/KR- DeVonte Neal (Notre Dame)
WR - Cayleb Jones (Texas)
QB - Jerrard Randle (LSU)
QB - Jesse Scroggins (USC)
QB - Connor Brewer (Texas)
OT - Freddie Tagaloa (California)
TE - Blair Tushaus (BYU)
CB - Brendan Murphy (Air Force)
RB - Adonis Smith (UNLV)
K/P - Ethan Keyserling (Virginia Tech)
DT - Niko Kittrell (San Jose St)

I believe Tagaloa has to redshirt, but the other ten should all be available.

Didn't we also get a linebacker from Cal also?

Freshmen - assuming this is “good weight” added, some impressive numbers!
Cobb 6-0 239
Griffin 6-0 302
Poland 6-7 343, aka Vince Smith Redux?
Walton 6-3 285
Ware 6-0 229
Wilson 5-10 199
Wood 6-5 251

Returning -
Turituri 6-1 265 - yikes! How much can this guy pack on before he’s a DT?
Scoob up to 246 - nicely done, sir
Bundage up to 281 - still amazed he started so young (and light) at OG
C. Allen up to 266 - intriguing size
Fanene up to 303
Faafoi up to 333?!
Maiava up to 301
Ebbele up to 315
Pettinato up to 277 - thought he was lookin thicker in recent vids

And J. Allen at 6-5 263 - boom.

Some notes from updated roster:

Cam Denson listed as a CB. Not shocking from need, but I'm glad to see.

Cobb's weight is 239!

Ware's weight is 229!

LSU transfer Jordan Allen listed at 6-5, 263

Our D-Line is bigger! Auilua Fanene is listed at 6-5, 303; Marcus Griffin at 6-0, 302; Jerod Cody at 6-7, 290; Sani, Fulmaono 6-2, 288; Jeff Worthy at 6-2, 287. None of those 5 guys played for us last year. That's a damn nice size infusion on the DL!

Returning DL are Dan Pettinato at 6-4, 277; Calvin Allen at 6-6, 266; Reggie Gilbert at 6-4, 262; Luca Bruno 6-4, 264.

Derrick Turturi is still listed at LB, but is 6-2, 265! Jeez, I love the idea of a huge MLB if he has the speed. If not, will he move to DE?

Other LBs: Scooby Wright is up to 6-2, 246; freshman Cobb is 239 already! Bush-Loo is up to 235. Hobson is 233, JC transfer Smothers is 232, De'Andre Miller is 230, Ware is 229, and walk-on Jake Mathews (who looked pretty good as true frosh last year) is 221.

As for our OL? Damn, lets just say we have 10 guys that weigh 290 or more, and 5 of them weigh in over 300 LBs with frosh Jordon Poland the biggest at 6-7, 343 and then Cal transfer Freddie Tagaloa listed as 6-8, 316!

Our tallest WR is David Richards at 6-4. Austin HIll, Cayleb Jones and Trey Griffey are listed at 6-3. But I have to say, frosh TE Trevor Wood is listed at 6-5, 252 and RR has said he will be used at times at WR. I am really excited to see him practice and at the fall game. I think he may be a real stud for us in the near future.

Those are definitely not our 2014 jerseys. On the news they showed the freshman running back Haden wearing a #7 jersey with "DENKER" on back.
