I really thought we had what it would take

I was wrong. I always take our tournament losses hard but this one hurts a little bit more. I feel bad especially for Kaleb and Gabe for their four years of hard work and accepting their roles without creating waves. I'm grateful for Ryan and Mark and Jacob for choosing to be Wildcats.

This team just wasn't Arizona good. But they had a decent season and at one point in mid February actually looked like they might be capable o making a run. Guard play does matter though and this team had none

Speaking of guard play, who will be the PG next year? We have our top 2 PG's coming back in Allen and PJC but…. well, the second possession tonight when Kadeem ran about 20 feet backwards in the backcourt when pressured is all you need to know. We can have all the talent on the wing and in the middle but without a steady PG we still might not be much better. Some people think PJC might bail but I think Simon will bust-a-move. Not sure how much of a PG Simmons is either. Maybe if Jackson comes we won't need a real PG with Jackson being the primary guy with the ball in his hands. Who knows.

I don't feel as bad tonight as I did 2 years ago when we lost to Wisconsin. I thought that team, with a healthy Ashley, could have been the best team ever at UA. I knew tonight we would have our hands full and I thought we'd come up short. Thanks to Zeus and York (and Hazard) for their 4 years of dedication as well as Anderson and Tolly for being a Cat for a year.

And Trier proved tonight he is not ready for the next level. He will still probably bail though….
