Has Rabb announced or not?

Discussion on Sean Miller and the Arizona Basketball team

I read that his decision is 'coming', but not made or confirmed. Is him to Cal just the worst kept secret in college basketball, or is he still in the board?

He keeps pushing his announcement date back. One thing to consider is that I read his mom is working two jobs and they seem really close. Cal would allow her to see him in person more often than trying to get away to Tucson to catch a couple games.

Or he's waiting on BAsh.

The press i read is that he doesn't want to make a big deal out of it. While I can appreciate that, the best way to not make a big deal out of it is to simple announce. Something is holding him up.

While I understand the separation thing, part of college is to help with it. The bay area is 1-1.5 hours by plane. There are flights daily between Tucson and the Bay Area. And you can skype daily if the need be. At the same time, the younger student needs to find their own space in this world.

If his hesitance is because he does not know Brando Ashley is coming back, I would suggest that is not a factor. Sean Miller is very good at balancing minutes for those who practice and play hard. Practice and play hard and the minutes will be there regardless of whether Brandon is there or not.

Bearing Down on the waiting game

At this point we may not find out where he's going until we see whose tunnel he runs out of on opening night....

Then Cal will be the favorite to win the P12 next year. All three of these guys are in the top 8 of this years ESPN Top 100 rankings.

Put those three with Wallace, Matthews and Bird and yes, I fear our 2 year championship run will most likely come to an end.

If only they had David Kravish coming back....

Haas can be a tough place to play. I've been there when they were good and it is LOUD. Old building, on campus steep rows of seats. It was the year we went on a 14 of 16 run in the first half to beat them by 4. Chol had a great game running up and down dunking and blocking shots. Their students were pumped up to the point of being idiots, running onto the court and very near our players during timeouts. No one did a think about the kid on the court, guess he's what passes for a cheerleader.

I'm still wondering if this package deal is waiting to see who will leave Kentucky. All three have them on their list (of course). All three have got to realize that taking a chance on a mediocre coach/program who doesn't normally work with this much talent could be risky. Would be unprecedented for 3 blue chippers to go to such a medicore coach/program. Keep in mind that Michigan was two years removed from winning the national championship under their coach when he ended up landing the Fab Five. California has done jack nothing in basketball for quite a long time!

Just doesn't make sense. I've gotta think one of them wakes up soon and questions why they would take such a risk when other programs like Kentucky are a much easier springboard to the NBA.

Will be interesting to see how this ends up.
